Winter Weather Travel Advisory for today and tonight.
Bands of flurries off Lake Ontario are affecting northern and eastern portions of Toronto, as well as portions of York and Durham regions extending northwest towards Caledon and Colgan. Local amounts up to 5 cm or so will be possible this morning before it weakens late this morning.
A more widespread area of snow is expected to arrive during the late afternoon which may affect the commute home for some folks. Additional snowfall amounts near 5 cm are likely tonight. There is also the possibility of locally higher snowfall amounts up to 10 cm closer to the lakeshore due to enhancement off of Lake Ontario.
Roads may quickly become snow covered and icy. Visibilities are expected to be reduced at times in the snow bands.
The snow will taper off to a few flurries early Tuesday morning.
