Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged one youth and are seeking three additional suspects after two break and enters and three attempted break and enters in the City of Markham.
On March 9, 2025, officers responded to the report of two suspects breaking into residences in the area of Denison Street and Middlefield Road. The suspects had attempted to gain entrance to at least two houses before successfully breaking into a home and stealing the keys to motor vehicles. The suspects then stole two vehicles from the driveway.
On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, officers responded to a residence in the area of Fonda Road and Golden Avenue for reports of a stolen vehicle. Investigators learned that four suspects had attempted to gain entrance to at least one other house before breaking into a residence and stealing the keys to the victim’s vehicles. The suspects then stole two vehicles from the victim’s driveway.
Following an investigation, all four stolen vehicles were recovered in the City of Toronto. One suspect was observed returning to one of the stolen vehicles and was quickly taken into custody by investigators.
All suspects are described as wearing masks, hooded sweaters and track pants.
