Investigators with the York Regional Police #2 and #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureaus are seeking the public’s assistance to locate a 42-year-old man who is wanted for numerous commercial break and enters across the region.
On February 28, 2025, officers responded to the report of a break and enter in the area of Commerce Valley Drive and Highway 7 West, in the City of Richmond Hill, where a suspect stole electronics.
On March 5, 2025, police responded to the report of a break and enter in the area of Highway 7 and Highway 404, in the City of Markham. The suspect broke into a commercial building and had stolen electronics.
Through investigation, police identified the same suspect in both incidents and believe he is responsible for as many as eight commercial break and enters in the same areas. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.

At the time of these incidents, ZAHRABI SHOTORBAN was on probation and a release order for previous commercial break and enters. There is also a Bench Warrant currently in effect for ZAHRABI SHOTORBAN.
