Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance in locating a 38-year-old man wanted for Robbery and various firearms offences.

On August 17, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m., police responded to a residence in the area of Eastvale Drive and Denison Street in the City of Markham for reports of an assault. The suspect assaulted and choked the victim before fleeing the scene.

On August 20, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., police responded to a weapons call at the same residence. The suspect returned to the house, threatened to kill the victim, assaulted them with a firearm and stole their cellphone.

Jeetendra (Tony) RAMKUMAR, 38, of the City of Markham, is wanted for Robbery, Assault and various firearms offences. Police have been unable to locate him and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Investigators are releasing his image and appealing to the public for information on his whereabouts.

RAMKUMAR is considered armed and dangerous. If seen, citizens are urged not to approach him but to call police immediately.

There are three vehicles that are associated to RAMKUMAR:

• a blue 2017 Chevrolet Silverado with Ontario licence plate BE89595
• a silver 2020 Dodge Durango, with Ontario licence plate BKHR492
• a white 1991 Acura IGS with Ontario licence plate BECE205

The accused is encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in. Investigators are reminding the public that anyone providing assistance to him may be subject to criminal charges.
