Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are appealing for witnesses after a residence was the target of a shooting in the City of Markham.
On Sunday, June 22, 2025, at approximately 7:40 a.m., police responded to a home in the area of The Bridle Walk and Holst Avenue for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they observed visible damage to the garage and a vehicle parked in the driveway. Multiple shell casings were located in front of the residence.
No reports of gunshots were reported overnight.
Officers learned at that approximately 2:30 a.m., an unknown suspect arrived on foot, fired multiple times at the residence and fled to a nearby park.
The house was occupied at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported.

Investigators believe the incident is targeted and the investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are seeking any additional video surveillance from the area or any dashcam video of the roadway at the time of the incident. Anyone who has not yet spoken to police is asked to please come forward.
