Investigators with the York Regional Police Integrated Property Crime Task Force (IPCTF) are releasing images of recovered stolen property as a result of Project Mattel, an investigation into a series of residential break and enters across York Region.
In March 2025, the IPCTF began an investigation into an organized crime group committing residential break and enters. The group conducted multiple checks on residences to ensure no one was home before gaining entry by smashing rear sliding doors.
As a result of search warrants, numerous items have been recovered. A Dropbox folder has been set up with photos of the items that have not yet been claimed. We are asking anyone who was a victim of a residential break and enter between March 2025 to June 2025 to please review the photos and contact police if any of the items belong to you.
There will be a process to verify ownership before collecting any property.
Images of the stolen property can be found HERE.
