Investigators from York Regional Police Integrated Property Crime Task Force (ICPTF) have charged three suspects and are seeking an additional three as part of Project Lone Wolf, an investigation into overnight residential break and enters across York Region.
In October 2024 ICPTF launched an investigation into series of residential break and enters they believed to have been perpetrated by the same suspects. The suspects targeted unoccupied homes throughout the fall and winter months which appeared to be vacant while the homeowners were away.
The suspects carried out coordinated overnight break and enters stealing jewelry, handbags, cash and other items that could be easily transported from the residence to waiting vehicles.
Investigators cooperated with members of the Durham Regional Police, Halton Regional Police and the Ontario Provincial Police in order to identify suspects, gather evidence and to assist in identifying additional victims.

Investigators have been unable to locate the outstanding suspects and are appealing to the public for information.
The suspects are encouraged to seek legal advice and turn themselves in. Investigators are reminding the public that anyone providing assistance to them could be subject to criminal charges.
As a result of search warrants executed at residences in the City of Oshawa, numerous items have been recovered. A Dropbox folder has been set up with photos of the items that have not yet been claimed. We are asking anyone who was a victim of a residential break and enter between September 2024 to March 2025 to please review the photos and contact police if any of the items belong to you.
There will be a process to verify ownership before collecting any property.
