Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking suspects and are appealing for witnesses following a shooting in the City of Markham.

On Thursday, December 19, 2024, at approximately 4:15 a.m., the suspects attended a business in the area of Markham Road and Castlemore Avenue. A suspect discharged a firearm at the business from the rear of a vehicle before fleeing the area.

The business was closed at the time of the shooting. There were no injuries.

Investigators believe the incident is targeted.

Investigators are seeking any additional video surveillance from the area or anyone who may have captured dashcam video on nearby roadways at that time. Anyone who has not yet spoken to police is asked to please come forward.
