Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Bureau are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was fatally stuck in the City of Vaughan.
On Friday, April 18, 2025, at approximately 11 a.m., police responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision in the area of Dufferin Street and Major Mackenzie Drive West. As a result of the collision, a pedestrian was also struck.
The pedestrian, a 68-year-old female from Vaughan, was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Both vehicles remained at the scene. There were no other injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police. Anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the collision, is asked to come forward.
