Investigators with the York Regional Police #3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged a man in relation to shots fired at a home in the Town of Georgina, at least one suspect remains outstanding.

On Sunday, November 3, 2024, at approximately 11 p.m., police were called to a residence on Danny Wheeler Boulevard, near Valleo Street, for the sounds of gunshots. When police arrived, they saw the upstairs bedroom window of the home was shattered with what appeared to be bullet holes. Upon search of the area, officers located numerous shell casings on the driveway and on the road in front of the home. Bullet holes were observed within the upstairs bedroom of the home. Fortunately, no one was injured.

At least two suspects were seen fleeing the area in a white sport utility vehicle.

With the assistance of the Hamilton Police Service, investigators identified a suspect. On March 27, 2025, Vishaal SUTHAGAR was charged.

Charged:

Vishaal SUTHAGAR, 21, of City of Toronto 

Charges:

• Discharge Firearm with Intent
• Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
• Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
• Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence     
• Fail to Comply with Release Order 

At the time of his arrest, SUTHAGAR was on bail for previous unrelated charges.

At least one suspect remains outstanding and investigators are appealing to anyone with information to contact them. They consider this incident targeted and are continuing their investigation.
