Investigators with the York Regional Police #3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau (3CIB) have charged four suspects and seized a quantity of drugs and a firearm, following a break-and-enter investigation that led to the discovery of drug trafficking in the Town of Georgina.
On June 15, 2025, officers from 3CIB launched an investigation into a commercial break-and-enter in the area of Lake Drive North and Crestwood Drive. During the investigation, a suspect was identified and linked to a group suspected of trafficking drugs in Georgina. Further inquiries were conducted into these activities.
On June 26, 2025, officers observed a suspect, who appeared to be armed, entering a vehicle with a suspected drug trafficker. With assistance from the Emergency Response Unit, a traffic stop was initiated and the three occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody. Police seized a loaded firearm, a quantity of cash and substances believed to be methamphetamine and crack cocaine.
A search warrant was executed at a motel unit in Georgina, resulting in the arrest of the suspect from the break-and-enter investigation.
Two adults and two youths have been charged.

At the time of his arrest, Joseph FLETCHER was on an undertaking for an unrelated offence.
